What stays on your phone

Your checklist progress, the providers you add to your calls and your draft notice and obituary are saved only on your own device. We don't receive them unless you choose a paid tool that sends something for you.

What we collect, and why

• Photo notice and Family Pass: the details and photo you add, and the email addresses you ask us to send to, so we can make and send the notice and keep the memorial page online. Memories that visitors add to a memorial page are shown on that page.
• Payments: Stripe handles checkout. We receive your name, email and what you bought, not your card number.
• Help messages: your name, email and message, so we can reply.
• Organizations: the organization name, contact email, logo, color, message and resources, and a monthly count of how often the guide was opened. No details about individual families are shared with organizations.
• Basic site data: our host keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site working.

Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers only to run Clear Path After: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments) and an email delivery service (sending notices and receipts). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.

What we never do

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. We do not give family details to funeral homes, crematories, cemeteries or anyone else. Recipient email addresses are used only to deliver the notice you sent.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to take down a memorial page, at any time. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we honor them for everyone. Children

Clear Path After is meant for adults handling a family's affairs and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change how we use information, we will update this page and the date above.
